Turkey Vulture vs Airplane

This is what happens when a turkey vulture challenges an airplane: it loses. With the rash of bird collisions and airplanes being a hot topic since the Hudson River airplane landing, we'll probably get a lot more pictures like this unfortunately.

From KARE11:

A Florida pilot had to make a quick landing after hitting a large bird with his small plane.

The bird, which appears to be a turkey vulture, was embedded in the windshield of the Cessna plane.

Officials say the pilot took off from the Ft. Lauderdale airport Monday, but then called the tower around noon to report a bird strike.

The pilot landed safely at the airport. He was not seriously hurt.

Thank goodness he wasn't hurt.

I feel sorry for the birds, since they were in the air first. What can we do to keep planes and the birds safe?

WARNING: DEAD BIRD PICTURES

Off Topic: Matt Millen FIRED!!!

This has got to be one of the best days in Lions fans' recent history...and I don't think there's been a good day since Barry Sanders retired. Matt Millen is OUT...whether he was fired or left on his own remains unclear, but he is gone.

Thank the heavens for small (albeit late) miracles.

Helloooo....Again

After a whirlwind break and switching to a different platform and web host that was supposed to work better, here I am. Again.

Over the next few days I will be switching all of my content from the other un-named website that just decided to jack up their prices. Again. Are you seeing a pattern here?

So, bear with me as the files come over slowly.....I'll have all of my information up here soon.

Thanks,
Tina
